Young Labour & Refounding Labour, June 2011

Young Labour National Committee decided to make a submission to Refounding Labour because they felt it is important that Young Labour has the opportunity to have its say on how our party is run and how it could work better for young members and young people.

They then embarked upon the largest consultation exercise in Young Labour’s history holding a series of young members consultation events in every region of the country. All members were emailed to notify them of these events and they were advertised on social media sites, such as facebook and twitter in order to ensure that every member had an opportunity to feed in.

The submission is based on the ideas that individual members suggested at these events. Young Labour National Committee then met to discuss the ideas generated and agreed upon their submission.
