Young Labour is the active, campaigning youth section of the Labour Party for all members under 27.
It exists to involve young people in the Labour Party and ensure that the aspirations of young people are reflected in Labour’s policies in government – whether that be at a National, European, Scottish, Welsh or local level. Young Labour actively campaigns for a better Britain – with our core beliefs of equality, social justice and opportunity for all, the Labour Party is the natural home for young people who share our vision of a fair and prosperous society.
Unlike other political parties, young people are involved in all levels of the Labour Party, from door step campaigning, through to directly influencing policy and providing strategic direction to the Labour Party.
Young members can get involved in the Labour Party through local policy events, campaigning in your area or by attending events and socials. There is something for everyone who wishes to build a more equal, socially just and democratic country. As a party member you also have the right to pick your local councillor candidates, those who stand to be the MP in your area and influence those who hold these positions in your area.
Young Labour is active in your region and its national committee is keen to get you involved.
We work closely with other youth sections of the Labour Party, particularly our sister organisations, Labour Students, the Young Fabians and the youth sections of affiliated trade unions and affiliates.
So if you share our vision for a better Britain - join us.
